Building Communities of the Future

Golden Age is transforming how Canadians build. Our SIP-based modular home kits are customizable, energy efficient, and installed on site in only a few days — all at a cost that rivals conventional framing.

From single family homes to Missing Middle build forms, the Golden Age System™ empowers us to build sustainable, human-centred communities where all people can live and thrive.

Our Vision

What can you build with Golden Age home kits?

Designed with the “Traditional Neighbourhood” in mind, Golden Age’s prefabricated home shell kits are the building blocks of the walkable, human-centred communities of the future.

    Customizability

Make it yours. Dress it up or down. We build the high performance shell, you choose the floor plan and finishes - inside and out.

  • Construction workers using a crane to lift roof panels onto a partially built wooden house in a forested area.

    Fast Assembly

A four person crew with a boom truck can assemble and enclose a two storey, 1,600 square foot home in less than one week.

  • Close-up of a rectangular air filter with a wooden frame, standing outdoors on grass with a cloudy sky in the background.

    Sustainability

Precision-engineered SIPs minimize long term environmental impact while maximizing energy efficiency, air quality and comfort.

What is the Golden Age System?

Golden Age designs and manufactures ready-to-assemble “shell kits” using a combination of:

  1. Precision-cut Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)

  2. Engineered prefabricated floor truss systems

  3. Golden Age’s flexible 4’ x 4’ grid design system

Together, these building blocks allow us to design a wide variety of residential build forms that are strong, sustainable, and easy to assemble.

Speed:

  • Precision cut and prepped in the factory.

  • Assembled on site in a matter of days.

  • 50% to 60% less on-site labour.

Made in Ontario. Designed to perform.

Bar chart comparing labor hours for walls and roof, showing fewer hours needed for walls (78 and 25 hours) than for the roof (118 and 51 hours), with the title "Less Labour Hours" and a note about SIP construction requiring 50% to 60% fewer labor hours to assemble walls and roof.

Performance:

  • Net-zero ready - low thermal bridging.

  • Blower door tested to ACH 0.5 to 1.5.

  • Up to 60% savings on heating / cooling.

Comparison chart showing energy savings from SIP buildings versus traditional stick frame construction, with SIP saving 40% to 60%, depending on climate.

Strength:

  • 2x the vertical uniform load of stick built

  • 2x the vertical point load of stick built

  • Up to 3x the sheer strength of stick built

Bar chart comparing vertical load capacity between uniform load and point load, showing higher capacity for uniform load at 4,000 PSF versus 2,000 PSF for point load, with additional values of 2,500 and 850 respectively, indicating SIPs have more vertical load capacity than traditional stick-built construction.
